The Pakistan team is grappling with fitness issues in Australia. After Khurram Shehzad, spinner Nouman Ali has also been sidelined from the Test series. Nouman Ali underwent an appendix operation at a Melbourne hospital.

Nouman Ali complained of severe abdominal pain suddenly, leading to an emergency examination and scans that confirmed an appendix issue.

Following the surgeon’s advice, he underwent a laparoscopic appendectomy this morning. Post-surgery, he’s feeling better and will be discharged from the hospital this evening. However, the doctor has recommended complete rest for Nouman Ali.

It’s worth noting that Nouman Ali had a finger injury before the first test, preventing his availability for the Perth test.

Meanwhile, spinner Abrar Ahmed is also injured in Australia. Off-spinner Sajid Khan has been swiftly called up to join the team in Melbourne.
