Om Shanti Om, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has been re-released in theatres today, November 17.
According to the reports, the re-release of Om Shanti Om was initiated by Khan’s biggest fan club, SRK Universe. The plan was revealed shortly after the re-release of Shah Rukh Khan’s timeless film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The film earned INR 25 lakh at the box office, setting a new high mark.
The film will be shown in theatres in 20 different cities across India, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, and Ahmedabad.
Om Shanti Om marked Deepika Padukone’s Bollywood acting debut. The film was a huge success. Following Farah Khan’s directorial debut, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika worked together on numerous films, including Happy New Year and Chennai Express. The duo is now preparing to star in their next film, Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand.
In terms of projects, Khan is working on Atlee Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Meanwhile, his next feature film, starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is set to hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, Project K opposite Prabhas, and the Intern with Amitabh Bachchan in the works, according to IndiaToday.
