Islamabad: Astronomers have predicted that the moon of Shawwal is likely to appear on the evening of May 2, according to which Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3 this year.
Eid-ul-Fitr 2022: According to media reports, astronomers say that the birth of the moon is expected to cross the connection point at 1:28 PST between April 30 and May 1.
Government employees in Punjab will get their salaries before Eid-ul-Fitr. The government has announced the schedule of Eid holidays.
Meanwhile, the duration of sighting of the moon after sunset will be a minimum of 40 minutes and a maximum of 89 minutes and if the weather remains clear, the moon will be clearly visible in different parts of the country next Monday.
The government of Pakistan on Tuesday released the schedule of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, which will start from May 2 (Monday), Geo News reported, according to a notification issued in this regard.
Eid-ul-Fitr 2022: After the approval of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the notification said that the four-day holiday would start from May 2 and continue till May 5 (Thursday).
Sources said that a summary of the three-day leave was sent to the Prime Minister but he approved the four-day leave.
