Pam and Tommy – Review
Pounding and Drilling
Pam & Tommy premieres a year before Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s infamous sex tape is published. In July 1995, building workers in a mansion are distracted by a cacophony of moans and groans from the upper floors.
So, what exactly are these individuals constructing? It’s the “Love Deluxe” pad, as we’ll soon discover, that allows the passionate pair to act out all of their sexual fantasies. A pricey hardwood bed frame hangs from the ceiling, and… a chain?
Tommy bursts down the stairs in his undies, bursting with new ideas. He wants to shift the bed several feet to the left, despite the fact that it is already fastened down. Carpenter Rand is dissatisfied since it will cost more money and his expenses are piling up. Rand is already three months behind on his rent, so hearing that the work would be delayed much more isn’t exactly what he wants to hear.
They can make anything into entertainment, and this time it’s Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s sex tape. Even those who aren’t interested in celebrity news will likely be aware of this, and it’s fascinating to witness the storey from the perspective of the “bad guy” rather than Tommy and Pam.
However, kudos to those in charge of cosmetics and costume, since everything looks simply amazing. The storyline is lively as well, with a good pace despite the fact that the episode is a set-up for more drama to come.
Can an entire series be built around the tale of a leaked sex tape? If the first episode is any indication, the response is a resounding yes! This one isn’t horrible in terms of first episodes, even if it drags a touch in the middle.
